NYOtv is a passion project of mine that's still in development. It's a pseudo television network that streams digitally 24/7. It's philosophy is inspired by the creative work at Adult Swim and Newgrounds.
NYO (a play on the word "neo") is a yellow cat addicted to watching TV. I designed his face to be the same as the logo to make the branding more easily recognizable. With the text logo, I was inspired by Adult Swim's branding with their signature brackets.
The design of the website is intended to immerse the user in an older era of television. A lot of TV channels back then had their own websites and I took inspiration from those older design graphics.
Several videos I edited in Sony Vegas Pro 14 and Adobe After Effects. Paying homage to the Adult Swim ten second bumpers that hide their logo in stock footage. The audio aspect is also inspired by Adult Swim. The song selection consists of laid-back hip-hop instrumentals.
